Round the Square

bctop

kerric

Kerri Augenstein

Kerri has found herself a comfy seat in Design on the Square. If it’s novel, profound, amusing—she’s interested. Be advised, she may have misspelling accidents on occasion [Not on my watch!—Ed.]. There have been interventions; she’s in a 12-step program.

Joerg

Joerg Dressler

Joerg has been drawing, painting and crafting his whole life. Creating any kind of visual communication comes naturally—written ones, not so much.  So don’t expect too frequent posts from this “contributor”—and don’t be surprised if you see one written entirely in German!

mattc

Matt Dyson

Matt spent most of his college years breaking (then subsequently fixing) computers during important recording sessions at Berklee College of Music. Oddly enough, he’s now in charge of our IT infrastructure and support, as well as developing websites for many of our clients.

michaelc

Michael Eads

Before joining Sametz Blackstone in 1993, Michael worked in advertising and publishing in Memphis and Boston. Though he has aged somewhat since the photo to the left, he still can’t quit playing with ink and paper.

meg

Meg Fowler

Meg is the lone imported Canadian on the Sametz team — but don’t expect all her posts to end in “eh”. She spends her days as our highly caffeinated Business Development Associate, and loves (both writing and reading) words, talking with her hands, and planning elaborate dinner parties.

jeffc

Jeff Hudecek

Jeff is a Digital Media Developer with a competing interest in US and world politics. He’s also known to listen to Swedish death metal in spite of how many collared shirts and pairs of khaki pants he owns.

tamsenc

Tamsen McMahon

A “hellion” (or so says our friend Camille), Tamsen is the Director of Digital and Strategic Initiatives and the editor of this here blog, which makes her the official Rounder of the Square. Given her penchant for Manhattans, it’s an appropriate sobriquet. (She’s also @sametz and @tamadear.)

ericc

Eric Norman

Eric is a member of the strategy team at Sametz Blackstone. When he’s not writing, he’s reading.

summerc

Summer Parker

Summer is a designer at Sametz Blackstone and the mom of a budding baby designer (having recently discovered his opposable thumbs). Summer’s cat Jetta, a member of the Sametz Blackstone quadruped team, telecommutes from home.

rogerc

Roger Sametz

Roger Sametz founded Sametz Blackstone in 1979, moving his five-year-old design firm into our six-story brownstone in what was then the deep South End. He answers mail for Mr. Blackstone, 1595–1675, who is not a member of our team but was, reputedly, Boston’s first English settler.

brandonc

Brandon Walsh

Brand strategist by day, rock n’ roll spelunker by night, Brandon navigates change like nobody’s business.

calliec

Callie

Callie has worked in the project management office since August 2008. When she isn’t sleeping, she’s eating.

dylanc

Dylan

Dylan is 85lb of Shepherd, Hound, Horse, and Kangaroo. When not sleeping in the basement or greeting clients with a big, bone-muffled hello, he’s eagerly awaiting an invite to his next meeting where he can make sure all attendees’ feet are kept safe and warm.

moxiec

Moxie

Moxie is a five-year-old, chocolate brown standard poodle who helps hold down the fort on the third floor, with a window overlooking Blackstone Square. When she’s not reviewing printer’s proofs, she’s staring longingly at the four-legged creatures having fun in the park without her.
