Joerg has been drawing, painting and crafting his whole life. Creating any kind of visual communication comes naturally—written ones, not so much. So don’t expect too frequent posts from this “contributor”—and don’t be surprised if you see one written entirely in German!

Michael Eads

Before joining Sametz Blackstone in 1993, Michael worked in advertising and publishing in Memphis and Boston. Though he has aged somewhat since the photo to the left, he still can’t quit playing with ink and paper.

Meg Tripp

Meg is the lone imported Canadian on the Sametz team — and as such, writes very polite blog posts. She spends her days as our highly caffeinated social strategist / marketer / copywriter, and her nights hand-talking and stirring risotto.

Jeff Hudecek

Jeff is a Digital Media Developer with a competing interest in US and world politics. He’s also known to listen to Swedish death metal in spite of how many collared shirts and pairs of khaki pants he owns.

Alyssa Jones

Alyssa loves to know how things work, be they people, objects, machines or phenomena. When not providing project coordination at Sametz Blackstone, she’s paddling her kayak around the north shore, or finding objects to assemble into her creations.

Roger Sametz

Roger Sametz founded Sametz Blackstone in 1979, moving his five-year-old design firm into our six-story brownstone in what was then the deep South End. He answers mail for Mr. Blackstone, 1595–1675, who is not a member of our team but was, reputedly, Boston’s first English settler.

Brandon Walsh

Director of Digital Strategy by day, rock n’ roll spelunker by night, Brandon navigates change like nobody’s business.

Venus Wan

A 7954.72 miles plane ride brought Venus here, and she eventually found her seat at Sametz Blackstone as a graphic designer. Ever since she discovered the existence of paper and all sort of things that can happen on it, she’s embraced it. Once she discovered screens, her creations have been able to travel all across the horizon. When Venus is not designing, she gets her hands on all sorts of Asian cuisines and crafts.

Joel Zayas

Joel has over 5 years experience as a front-end developer and has constructed websites using a handful of open-source platforms such as Drupal, Joomla & WordPress. His interests are sports, art, design, cuisine and technology (mainly anything pertaining to apple products).

Moxie

Moxie is a seven-year-old, chocolate brown standard poodle who helps hold down the fort on the third floor, with a window overlooking Blackstone Square. When she’s not reviewing printer’s proofs, she’s staring longingly at the four-legged creatures having fun in the park without her.
