From the Massachusetts Turnpike (Route 90) Heading east on the Turnpike, take the Copley Square exit (a right-hand exit) and stay in the right lane, out of the tunnel, up to the first light. Turn right onto Dartmouth Street and continue for five blocks to Tremont Street; turn right on Tremont and continue for four blocks to West Newton Street. Turn left on West Newton and continue for a block and a half; Sametz Blackstone is in the middle of the block, opposite the fountain in Blackstone Square.
From Storrow Drive: Heading east on Storrow Drive, take the Copley Square exit (a right-hand exit); stay in the right lane and turn onto Beacon Street. Continue on Beacon for two blocks and turn left onto Clarendon Street. Follow Clarendon for eight blocks and turn right onto Tremont Street (Clarendon dead-ends at the intersection with Tremont). Continue on Tremont for six blocks and turn left at the light at West Newton Street. Sametz Blackstone is one and a half blocks ahead on the right, opposite the fountain in Blackstone Square.
From Interstate 93N: From the south on 93N, take the Massachusetts Avenue exit (exit 18) and follow to the light at Massachusetts Avenue. Turn right and continue for five blocks, turning right at the light at Tremont Street. Follow Tremont for six blocks and turn right onto West Newton Street. Sametz Blackstone is one and a half blocks ahead on the right, opposite the fountain in Blackstone Square.
From Interstate 93S: From the north on 93S, take the Storrow Drive exit (26A) and continue on Storrow heading west. Take the Back Bay/Copley Square exit (a left-hand exit) and turn right at the first light onto Beacon. Continue two blocks and turn left onto Clarendon; stay on Clarendon for eight blocks and turn right onto Tremont Street (Clarendon dead-ends at the intersection with Tremont). Continue on Tremont for six blocks and turn left at the light at West Newton Street. Sametz Blackstone is one and a half blocks ahead on the right, opposite the fountain in Blackstone Square.
From Logan International Airport: Follow signs for Airport Exit, and continue to the (Ted) Williams Tunnel (a $3 toll). Once in the tunnel, take the 93S exit (exit 23). After emerging from the tunnel, get in the right lane and take the Massachusetts Avenue /Andrew Square exit; stay in the right lane and follow signs to the Massachusetts Avenue Northbound exit. After turning right onto Massachusetts Avenue, continue to the fifth light and turn right onto Tremont Street. Continue on Tremont for five blocks and turn right at the light at West Newton Street. Sametz Blackstone is one and a half blocks ahead on the right, opposite the fountain in Blackstone Square.
From Downtown / financial district: From 93S, take exit 20 (90 West/Massachusetts Turnpike), bear left and follow signs for Albany Street (be careful once you are on Albany Street, to stay in the right lane and don't get back up on 93South). Continue on Albany Street about two blocks to the intersection at East Berkeley (a Mobil station will be diagonally across the intersection). Turn right onto East Berkeley, continue four blocks and turn left onto Tremont Street. Continue on Tremont for ten blocks and turn left at the light at West Newton Street. Sametz Blackstone is one and a half blocks ahead on the right, opposite the fountain in Blackstone Square.
From Downtown / alternate route: Alternately, take Tremont Street from City Hall or the Theater District into the South End (be careful: Tremont Street turns right and then left around a circular church just one block past the Wang Center in the Theater District). Once you cross over the Massachusetts Turnpike and then Arlington Street, continue straight ahead for twelve blocks and turn left at the light at West Newton Street. From Cambridge via Massachusetts Avenue: Take Massachusetts Avenue from Cambridge across the bridge into Boston, continuing past Symphony Hall (on your right). Cross Huntington and Columbus Avenues and take a left on Tremont Street (left lane has left-turn arrow). Follow Tremont for five blocks and turn right onto West Newton Street. Sametz Blackstone is one and a half blocks ahead on the right, opposite the fountain in Blackstone Square.
Parking: On-street parking for visitors is most readily available on Washington Street, where there are parking meters. While most of the neighborhood is designated for "resident parking only," there are a few visitor parking spaces on West Newton Street; in addition, Shawmut Avenue from Massachusetts Avenue up to West Dedham Street (the continuation of Dartmouth Street) is unrestricted. From April 1 through November 30, be careful to watch for signs indicating street cleaning days.
